Afraid of Loose Skin after Lipo? SkinTite™ Lipo Can Help!
SkinTite™ Lipo is a new technique we’re offering that not only removes fat but also tightens your skin. It combines liposculpture without sedation, which is the most effective and safest method of fat removal, with thermage, which has been used for years to tighten skin.
To perform SkinTite™ Lipo, Dr. Osman first treats the area with thermage, and then removes the fat using liposculpture. Even without thermage, lipo induces some degree of skin tightening, but the tightening is maximized when the two procedures are combined. SkinTite™ Lipo is an excellent choice for patients who are concerned about having loose skin after liposuction but don’t want a tummy tuck.
We’ve been seeing enhanced tightening with this combination, and patients have been pleased with the results. Patients don’t always want the risk and downtime of a tummy tuck, and while SkinTite™ Lipo won’t replace a tummy tuck, it offers patients a tummy tuck alternative. At his Los Angeles liposuction center, Dr. Osman knows that patients appreciate anything that minimizes downtime.

What is the difference between liposculpture and liposuction?
In a word, nothing. Liposuction and liposculpture are just two names for the same procedure. However, liposculpture is often used to describe a less invasive form of liposuction done totally by local anesthesia called tumescent liposuction. Liposuction, or liposculpture, performed totally by local anesthesia is by far the safest form of surgical body sculpting that exists today. To date, there have been no deaths reported from this procedure and very few complications. Many thousands of patients have been treated by this technique.
One might infer that liposculpture focuses more on sculpting than liposuction. Actually, this is a conclusion based solely on the name since the two procedures are exactly the same. As a Los Angeles liposuction (liposculpture) surgeon, Dr. Osman knows that sculpting is the most important part of any lipo-surgery. As one liposuction surgeon said, “It is not what you remove, but what you leave behind.” Dr. Osman agrees.

New Cellulite Treatment with Thermage
If you have lumps and dips on the backs of your legs, a new cellulite treatment may be able to help.
Thermage recently released a new procedure for cellulite that reduces cellulite with only one treatment. Thermage for cellulite works by tightening the strands of collagen that run between the bundles of fat making the bulges and irregularities less noticeable. Only one treatment is needed and results are long lasting.
Dr. Osman is one of the first board-certified dermatologists in Los Angeles to offer this treatment. Up until now, the only options for improving cellulite to Angelenos have been methods that require many treatments and only produce limited results. Cellulite treatment with Thermage offers the ability to get results with only one treatment which is a great advantage to busy people.

Tumescent Liposuction
Have you been thinking about having liposuction but are scared of the risks and recovery? Then tumescent liposuction is the solution for you.
Tumescent liposuction is a way of performing liposuction without using general anesthesia. The areas of fat are numbed using a local anesthetic and removed with very small instruments called microcannulas.
Developed by a dermatologist, this technique minimizes downtime and risk, but maximizes results. Tumescent liposuction is safer because general sedation carries risks that are avoided when local anesthesia is used. You’ll get better results since using local anesthesia inflates the fat compartment making it easier to remove. The use of small instruments minimizes trauma leading to a speedy recovery and allows for a smoother result. Plus, you won’t feel sick after the surgery like you can from the use of general anesthesia.
